ENTELLIGENCE is a program for clinical and basic science research in the field of cardiopulmonary medicine. The ENTELLIGENCE program provides opportunities for individual young investigators to promote quality medical care and enhance patients' lives by supporting research. Investigators apply via a Letter of Intent which, if approved, leads to a full grant application form submission online.
ISL created a complete design, full-featured Drupal content management system, and customized submission review process to allow committee members to accept, evaluate and organize submissions. The multi-stage submission process was built to allow letter of intent (LOI) and grant submissions to be evaluated by various user classes, all with specialized access rights to the submitted content. The basic Drupal framework was customized to enable a high-quality peer review system of grant applications that could be extended to many organizations, including non-profit ones.
