PharmQD is a community site for US pharmacists built for Jobson Health Information (JMI) in New York. It allows professional users to do everything from read the latest news in their field, start a blog or publish a story, take Continuing Education courses, or post and search for jobs. A robust Forum allows users to communicate with each other. Non-professional users can rate and comment on the over 50,000 pharmacies across America.
The site was developed in Drupal. A number of customized applications allow users to make friends, share their activities with them if they wish much like on Facebook, and earn points for different activities on the site. Over 50 Drupal modules were used to create a truly personalized experience. Users have a complete history of their site activities, and sophisticated web services calls keep their CE and profile information in synch across JHI's network of other professional medical sites.
